The Truth of it Coming to Bunbury

lot has happened in the past few weeks since writing about the WA government denying ACL bookings at public venues… you’ve probably seen it on the news.  This is from the director of ACL Martin Iles:

Praise God, we got our bookings back, and Perth looks set to be our biggest event yet.

Sky News, Channel 7, Channel 9, The Australian, 6PR Radio, ABC and others, all sought interviews. Even secular journalists were shocked by the notion that a democratic government would have an official policy to cancel people who disagree with them.

But the WA government rescinded their decision on Friday evening, pending a review of their hiring policy.

I am grateful to God that this opportunity has been preserved to proclaim truth in WA’s public places… at least for now. Please pray for these events.

Whilst this is a win, it’s a compelling example of why robust religious freedom protections are needed in Australian law.

Thanks to your support, we can push back when it happens to us, but many people are not so fortunate. Cancel culture and discrimination are growing problems for ordinary Christians.

That’s why the Religious Discrimination Bill matters.

If you haven’t done so already, please sign the petition to the Prime Minister to ask him to make good on his promise to provide religious protections in law before the end of the year.
