- BCA -
How do they serve?

Bush Church Aid has a heart for people living in remote and regional Australia. We are committed to going the distance to reach Australia for Christ.
People living in sparsely populated areas often don’t benefit from strong support networks. Churches in these areas can struggle financially due to fluctuating populations. Ongoing fellowship can be hard to maintain and encouragement can become a rarity.
In partnership with Anglican Dioceses across the country, Bush Church Aid places committed and gifted Christians in a variety of locations to help people connect with the grace of God revealed in Jesus.

- Pastoral -
Ministry

A commitment to sending Field Staff to plant, pastor and nurture lively Christ-centred churches across the bush, on islands and in regional centres.

- Short-Term -
Ministry Trips

BCA have two short-term mission programs
Dusty Boots, a program where high school students go on short-term mission trips with their schools and serve in remote communities.
Nomads, a program where people travelling around Australia can serve and help out in BCA locations.

- Indigenous -
Ministry

Ministry to Indigenous Australians is a key part of BCA’s mission. They focus on the identification and support of Indigenous Christian leaders. Many of their Field Staff have regular contact with Indigenous Australians as part of their ministry.

- Developing and Equipping -
Leaders

BCA is working to develop a new generation of culturally diverse Christian leaders to serve in the bush, and to equip leaders already on the ground for faithful and fruitful ministry.

- School Chaplaincy and the -
Bush Scripture Initiative

Many of our Field Staff serve in schools as chaplains. Through the Bush Scripture Initiative, we hope to have a paid SRE teacher for every state high school in rural New South Wales by 2020.
