Thank you, Jamie. I was led to look at St Nicholas Web Site this morning and accessed your sermon “The true vine bears good fruit.” As you know, Ted felt disappointed that he didn’t bear more fruit, but I believe he is in a place where is surrounded by much more fruit than he was aware of during his earthly life. We had a sermon on the same passage at All Saints but it majored entirely on the ‘seeds’of personal growth in the Spirit – love, joy, peace etc and little about the implications. In fact when I spoke to the preacher – a layman- about understanding the fruit as a ‘Harvest’ it seemed to pass him by, lovely chap as he is. So thank you very much for your stimulating and helpful theological presentation.
